According to Act No. 11 of 2003, section 8 of the Establishment of the Office of the Controller and Auditor General Zanzibar, it is hereby established the Audit Service Board which has exclusive mandate on human resources issues. The organizational structure of the OCAGZ consists of the Controller and Auditor General who is assisted by the Deputy Controller and Auditor General who are appointed by the President. The structure consist of six (6) directorates, six (6) units and sixteen (16) divisions which are appointed by the board. The Figure below presents the organization structure of the OCAGZ.
